Responsible of Coastal Zone Management Area
José A. Jiménez is Full Professor in Coastal Engineering & Management at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Barcelona, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya·BarcelonaTech. Ph.D. in Marine Sciences (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 1996). More than 25 years of experience in coastal research. He has participated in more than 25 research projects funded in competitive calls at National (Spanish) and International levels. He has published more than 85 articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 100 communications in international conferences and workshops. He has directed 15 Ph D Theses and, usually acts as expert evaluator for different research evaluation agencies. Awarded with the Distinction of the Government of Catalonia for Promoting University Research for Young Researchers (5th edition, 2004-2008).
