Description The new proposal focuses on the area north of the archipelago to characterize the maximum and average velocity values of tidal currents at different depths in conditions of medium to high tidal amplitude, using drift buoys. A hydrographic study and sediment characterization will be carried out to obtain the necessary parameters to validate a numerical oceanographic model of the region. The results of the model should conclude the suitability of the archipelago to obtain electricity from tidal energy.
