Engineering and Physical Oceanography

Oceanographic study of natural phenomena of nature and various scales (surface free waves of short period, tides, geostrophic circulation, currents induced by wind) that develop on the platform and continental slope.

The study methodology includes the use of on site observation techniques using profilers and recording autonomous instruments, numerical modeling and remote sensing in the visible bands, infrared and microwave electromagnetic spectrum.
